Job description
As Executive Director, you will specifically:- lead and develop multi-disciplinary teams through the building of internal capability and embedding of superior performance management processes.- develop strategies for high level engagement with all sectors of the community and across government.- provide strategic advice to key stakeholders, including the Director-General and departmental Executive Leadership team, on a wide range of advertising and communications issues and initiatives.- collaborate and inform the Minister's office on a range of events and activities.- lead and implement stakeholder engagement strategies/services at the department and regional level, which align and build commitment to the department's strategic direction.- provide media advice and services across the department through an informed and proactive approach to risk management and opportunity identification.- develop and implement a framework for proactive and reactive issues management that supports the Government's ability to rapidly respond to issues.- lead the development of key public-facing communication activities for the department, including high-quality speeches, media releases and public messages.- develop, lead, implement, monitor, and report on the department's stakeholder, marketing and communication strategies.
