We have a unique opportunity for a talented leader to join our committed team on a 5 year Senior Executive Service (SES) contract. The location, at either our Geraldton, Kalgoorlie or Northam campus will be negotiated with the successful applicant, with an anticipated start date of 15 April 2024 (again, can be negotiated with the successful applicant – earlier or later). 

Central Regional TAFE has established this exciting new executive leadership role, and the successful applicant will have the opportunity to provide strategic leadership to help shape the organisation and lead the design and provision of services that will ensure the College delivers the training and skills needed by the workforce of the future.

We deliver customer focused, industry aligned training and pathways to higher education to build a skilled, productive and employment ready workforce. In 2023 we enrolled over 11,000 students across the Mid-West, Gascoyne Goldfields and Wheatbelt regions. also offered in non-accredited programs, short courses, work-readiness programs, literacy and numeracy, and skill sets.

About the role 

Executive Director Training Strategy and DevelopmentThe Executive Director Training Strategy and Development leads the delivery of vocational education and training programs and workforce development services within the Training Strategy and Development Division. 

This role leads and directs negotiation, consultation and partnering with industry, community and within the education, vocational education and training and higher education sectors to ensure strategies and programs meet the career aspirations of individuals and the workforce development needs of industry. Participates as a member of the College Corporate Executive, champions the vision and values of the College and contributes to the development, implementation and achievement of strategic objectives and outcomes.

  • Current Rates as at 3 July 2015, Circular 3 of 2019 District Allowance Rates
