Executive General Manager - Power Projects

Reporting to the Utilities Chief Operating Officer, this is a significant and challenging senior leadership role for an experienced market development and operations professional. The role is a unique opportunity to shape and lead a well-established successful large business. You will champion strategic growth, business development, customer engagement, operational delivery, and commercial performance for all Power Projects transmission line substations, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) design, construction contracts, capital works projects and joint ventures.
As a key member of the Utilities Senior Leadership team, you will lead from the front in a fast paced and aspirational environment. You are a proven people leader focused on engaging our people and be the employer of choice in the power transmission industry. You have demonstrated a strong commitment and delivery to effective Zero Harm practices and developing a strong safety and sustainability culture. As a financially astute business leader your experience will include ownership of commercial and financial outcomes.
ABOUT YOU

• Experience in a complex contracted services environment is desirable with extensive experience at a senior general management level managing operational budget setting and realisation, preferably in the infrastructure engineering, technical services, or maintenance industries
• Proven experience in leading operational delivery of large complex services contracts that span multiple service offerings and a mixed self-perform/sub-contract partner delivery model

Demonstrable experience in a P&L role that has both scale and complexity, with responsibility for financial outcomes. * Leading operational delivery in an energy or power transmission or power distribution environment. Demonstrate a strong track record of developing a Zero Harm culture, drive operational improvements, leading organisational change, and mobilising large contracts (greenfield or brownfield)

• Prior history of ensuring effective governance and commercial risk management, issues management, and service levels across all work types, customers and projects
• Tertiary qualification in business, operations management, commercial or related discipline.
