About The Roles + Key Responsibilities
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a positive, energetic, and growing company. Currently operating a kitchen in Lane Cove West, quickly expanding to an additional site in Revesby. We’re looking for a dynamic, energetic, and positive Executive Chef to take on the QC and efficiency of Meal Production while upholding our dedication to food safety, quality, consistency, nutrition, and taste.
This Executive Chef's tasks will be very hands-on and involved in production.
Prepping and managing day-to-day meal bases, proteins, soups, salads, sides, and snacks in a hands-on manner to ensure daily production levels are achieved.
Training and coaching staff to enable them to best perform their roles and progress their careers, build a positive team environment, and lead the team to success. Fast Fuel accepts nothing short of exceptional food quality and freshness, and as the Executive Chef, you need to not only uphold these values but train your staff to do the same.
Overseeing kitchen staff and managing rostering/wage costs
Quality Control, monitoring stock rotation, overseeing regular stocktake, and reducing food waste and cost.
Work with other team personnel cohesively including Production Manager /Staff and Delivery Drivers to ensure production time-frames are met.
Continually work to identify and solve problems regarding efficiency and food quality
Manage and maintain food safety and kitchen hygiene, as per SQF guidelines
Prerequisites
A minimum of 10+ years in the hospitality industry, with majority of this time spent in an Executive Chef Role in a large production facility.
Demonstrated experience in a HACCP/SQF Kitchen and daily implementation of procedural operations
Working knowledge using emails, reading spreadsheets, and food cost/wage reports.
Food Safety Certificate mandatory.
