Job description
The Independent Health and Aged Care Pricing Authority's (IHACPA) vision to design pricing systems that promote safe, efficient health and aged care for all Australians. This is implemented through activity based funding (ABF) which provides incentives for efficiency and increases transparency in the delivery and funding of public hospital services across Australia.
In response to the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety, the Commonwealth Government announced that IHACPA's functions is expanded to include providing advice to the Commonwealth Minister for Health and Aged Care on aged care pricing matters.
IHACPA is seeking an enthusiastic candidate to fill the vacancy of Data Manager. This position designs, implements and manages the data collection process and system, from Data Acquisition to provision of high quality data sets in data warehouse for users within IHACPA.

This position designs and manages the data collection process, from specification to provision of high quality data sets for users within IHACPA. This includes but is not limited to:
• Designing and managing IHACPA data pipeline process covering Data Acquisitions, analysis, monitoring, loading, and reporting for internal and external stakeholders;
• Implementing data submission system in IHACPA's secure data management system including submission automation and data realignment as required;
• Developing and maintaining technical material such as tools and process to ensure data is loaded into data warehouse effectively;
• Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to fill IHACPA reporting requirements in various deliverables; and
• Developing strategies, policies, priorities, and work practices for various data management systems.
