46629 – Executive Manager: Major Investigations & Partners

How will I help?
The Executive Manager, Major Investigations & Partnerships will play an integral role within the Anti-Money Laundering & Sanctions Operations (AMLSO) team to ensure Westpac meets regulatory obligations as well as delivering great outcomes for customers and wider communities. The Major Investigations & Partnerships service includes the following key functions which exist to support AML & Sanctions Operations:
The Major Investigations AML team which investigates the most complex financial crime matters including extreme risk categories which may result in reputational damage to the Group and those involving multiple entities or large corporate structures, syndicates and organised crime.
The Data & Reporting team which is responsible for managing and providing key datasets to support the AML & Sanctions Operations teams with workflow management, service level reporting and key customer metrics to demonstrate performance to stakeholders across the business.
The Business Services function focuses on supporting and leading the business by coordinating key business deliverables including forecasting financials, workforce requirements and productivity, leading the employee engagement committee and producing showcases to demonstrate the department’s capabilities to the wider business.
Divisional Engagement whose key function is to form and manage relationships with key stakeholders, develop plans and strategies to meet business needs and attend and represent the department in all financial crime-related meetings and forums.
The Assurance Engagement function coordinates the engagement for 2 nd and 3 rd line reviews for the broader AML & Sanctions Operations Team by working with stakeholders to oversee compliance with financial crime obligations as required by Group policies and standards.
The Major Incidents and Service Delivery function focuses on managing the incidents impacting the broader AML & Sanctions Operations department. Implementation of new services and the delivery of major process changes.

What do I need?
Extensive knowledge across Anti Money Laundering / Counter Terrorism Finance & Sanctions Operations.
Extensive experience in managing teams performing investigations and providing risk recommendations.
Comprehensive understanding of overall business processes, support systems and tools – including AOM practices.
Strong understanding of financials and budgets.
Excellent stakeholder engagement.
Ability to utilise business metrics to drive efficiency.
Demonstrated experience in relationship management for internal stakeholders.
Knowledge and application of compliance and legislative requirements.
Understanding and applying the principles of risk management.
