THE ROLE
The Executive Project Director, Delivery is responsible for leading and overseeing projects in the Towers Redevelopment Program that are directly managed by Homes Victoria, including demolitions and design and construction projects. This includes managing a large-scale demolition program of existing high-rise towers owned by Homes Victoria and the delivery of high-rise redevelopments in certain sites where the Government decides that a Design and Construct type approach is preferred (as opposed to a private sector led or other partnership delivery models).
The Executive Project Director will be responsible for managing the budget and a dedicated team to deliver a large-scale demolitions program which has a significant number of risks and interdependencies to manage in a highly visible and sensitive operating environment as the towers to be demolished are located in urban contexts. The Executive Project Director will be an experienced construction professional ideally with exposure in the delivery of large-scale high-rise construction projects. The preferred candidate will require strong project management capability across planning, procuring and executing demolition works, design, project planning and budget management skills on high rise developments to ensure a large program of works are delivered on time and in budget.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

* Lead and oversee the demolition program, and the delivery of design, construction, and redevelopment of high-rise development projects as approved by the Government.
* Work with a high level of independence to develop all project initiation activities as needed including, recruitment of staff, team building, planning, appointment of key consultants/advisers, and market engagement for the procurement of related services and contractors.
* Maintain and reinforce strong project management from design, project planning and financing, through to successful delivery of development contracts on-time and within budget.
