Medical Service Group at Townsville University Hospital are seeking an experienced and flexible Executive Support Officer for a temporary part-time role, commencing 22/04/2024 up to 03/02/2025, working 48 hours per fortnight.
The successful applicant will be required to work the part-time hours from Monday to Friday. This role also provides Holiday Relief coverage for other Executive Support Officer roles.

The opportunity
- Provide a high level of confidential administrative and secretarial support to the Physician Training Unit, the Director and Deputy Director of Physician Education and Network Rotation Coordinator to facilitate service delivery within a health care environment.
- Provide trainee support as first point of contact for all rotation trainees seeking assistance with enquiries including liaison with rotation pathway hospitals and external stakeholders.
Employment Term
- Fixed Term Temporary part-time, commencing 22/04/2024 - 03/02/2025
(48 hours per fortnight). The successful applicant will be require to work the part-time hours from Monday to Friday. This role also provides Holiday Relief coverage for other Executive Support Officer roles.

The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following:
- Knowledge of or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) requirements.
- Proven secretarial and administrative skills of a high standard including the demonstrated ability to prepare complex documents including spreadsheets, agendas, minutes and draft replies to correspondence demonstrating advanced computer skills utilising a variety of applications.
- Demonstrated high level of communication skills, incorporating the ability to liaise and consult effectively with personnel at all levels and the ability to exercise tact and judgment on sensitive issues.
- Demonstrated ability to operate with a high level of independence while setting realistic goals, objectives and priorities, and to act innovatively, resourcefully and meet deadlines and commitments and the ability to effectively contribute in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise judgement in setting work priorities and problem solving.
