Requirements
- Responsibility for all operational aspects of the kitchen.
- Preparing and cooking food
- Planning menu items
- Estimate food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
- Ensure quality and presentation of all foods
- Training and developing kitchen staff
- Discuss food preparation with management, dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff
- Receiving & storing food stocks, kitchen supplies and equipment
- Advising on cooking procedures and demonstrating techniques
- Discussing food preparation issues with senior management
- Maintaining quality, preparation and presentation of dishes quality
- Implementing systems & procedures
- Implement, explain and enforcing hygiene regulations & secure workplace
- Select and train staff
- Freeze and preserve foods
Qualifications and Experience
- Must have AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and Diploma of Hospitality Management
- Must have experience worked as Chef for more than 2 years
Any successful applicant must be a team player, able to work under pressure & maintain a high level of cleanliness in the kitchen.
In return we offer a salary between $70,000 - $75,000 and a chance to work with a great team of people. If interested please apply
