The Role
A fantastic opportunity exists for a motivated, detail orientated and highly organised Accounts Assistant to join our team and assist with Accounts Receivable/Payable and end of month functions and looking for that next step in their accounting career.
Based in the Archerfield office and reporting to the National Operations Manager this is a Full-time role. This is not a hybrid or WFH role.
Responsibilities
- Reconciliation of daily transactions within the accounting system.
- Assist with processing and reconciling accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions.
- Follow up on outstanding customer payments.
- Send invoices, credit notes, and statements to customers.
- Process supplier invoices, ensure timely payment, and reconcile supplier statements accounts.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions, including filing and data entry.
- Collaborate with other teams to resolve any issues or disputes related to customers and suppliers.
- Conduct credit checks and trade reference checks for new customer accounts.
- Maintain assets register & PPSR registrations.
- Assisting with preparation of monthly reporting packs
- Assisting with budget and cashflow preparation.
- Other ad hoc accounts and administration duties as requested.
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you must have a positive ‘can do’ attitude coupled with the drive and determination to succeed, plus be able to demonstrate:
- A minimum of three years relevant experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Solutions driven with the energy to think outside the box
- Strong desire to learn and develop your skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software – MYOB, Xero is advantageous.
- Concern for quality combined with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Well organized with the ability to plan, multi-task, organise time and enforce deadlines.
- Exceptional communication and relationship building skills with the ability to communicate on all business levels.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
