Experienced Architect

OH Architecture is growing. We are looking for the right person to join our practice in a Project Architect/leadership role, with potential to work toward an Associate position. Responsibilities and Duties:

• Produce models and documentation for Design Development Drawings (these include Site Plans, Floor Plans, Elevations and 3D Perspective Views) Drawings prepared on REVIT
• Produce models and documentation for standard Preliminary and Town Planning Drawings (these include Site Plans, Locality Plans, Landscape Plans, Retaining Wall Plans, Car Turning Template, Floor Plans, GFA Calculations, Elevations, Street Elevations and Sections) Drawings prepared on REVIT
• Produce models and documentation for As Constructed Drawings (these include Existing Site Plan, Existing Floor Plans and Existing Elevations) Drawings prepared on REVIT
• Produce models and documentation for complete Working Drawings/ Construction Drawings (including design/sizes of structural members, bracing and tie-down calculations, steel details and steel connection details) Drawings prepared on REVIT
• Site Visits/Inspections of new construction
• Site Measure-Ups for home renovations and house extensions/additions for As Constructed Drawings
• Train workmates on proper/optimal use of REVIT software and the update of REVIT Templates and Family Library
• Review, Update and Correct Plans and Documentations
• Consult with Clients, Engineers, Certifiers, Principal Architect, Head of Interiors, Estimators and Builders/Site Supervisors
• Administration work for the company associated with the projects (document handling, filling, mail, etc) while ensuring documentation and reporting is performed to match company standards, time logs are tracked
• Collaborate with the team to contribute to the design and delivery of projects within specified timelines and budget constraints. As required; oversee, support, provide guidance to and manage less Experienced Architectural production staff
• Work diligently to ensure project objectives are met with a high level of efficiency and accuracy
• Generate design and documentation drawings promptly, adhering to predefined schedules
• Maintain a commitment to accuracy and precision in the production of drawings, this includes ensuring quality of work provided by team members
• Strive to achieve output deliverables for each project milestone and deadline
• Uphold a proactive approach to the team meeting project timelines and expectations

• 5+ years’ experience working in residential architectural design
• Valid architectural registration
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, design or related field (M.Arch preferred)
• Extensive experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Autodesk Collaborate Pro and Sketchup
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite highly desirable
• Advanced communication skills
• Hold a current and valid driver’s license, have reliable access to a vehicle and be willing to travel within 150 km radius when required for sites.
