The role
Working as part of our market recognised Commercial Litigation practice, we have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Litigation & Insurance Disputes Lawyer to join our Melbourne team on a permanent, full time basis.
You will join a high performing, supportive and down to earth team and enjoy working with prominent corporate clients across a variety of sectors.
The work involves a broad range of litigious and other contentious corporate and commercial matters, including insurance related disputes.
Key responsibilities
This role has a high level of client interaction and will see you managing client relationships, shaping the strategic direction of matters, working closely with counsel, drafting advices, preparing witness and expert evidence and preparation for final and interlocutory proceedings.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum 5 years PQE within a Commercial Litigation practice
- Demonstrated experience in a range of litigious matters and management of Insurance Disputes
- Strong academic achievements
- Familiarity with Supreme/Federal Court litigation
- The ability to project manage and drive matters through to completion
- A passion for mentoring, supervising and delegating work to more junior lawyers
- A strong focus on delivering exceptional client service
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills; required for building effective client relationships and contributing to a positive team environment
