Experienced Safety and Compliance Role

To support our ongoing growth, Tacpro is currently seeking an Experience Shutdown Safety and Compliance Role available for Work on shutdown projects based across multiple sites within the Bowen Basin

Key responsibilities include

·         Monitoring relevant legislation and standards and insuring compliance to Site and legislative requirements.

·         Facilitating investigations of incident injuries and near misses and ensuring that required information is captured/recorded through relevant company systems.

·         Developing appropriate safety reports, statistics and information for the projects.

·         Providing specialist advice assistance and support to project managers, coordinators and supervisors to allow them to achieve their safety responsibilities and ensure safety procedures and processes are being upheld to the required standards.

·         Facilitating safety inductions for new workers.

·         Managing hazard and incident identification and establishing appropriate control measures and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.

·         Supporting and building a culture of inclusion and diversity within the team

What you will need to be successful for the role

·         Competent application of Queensland health and safety responsibilities.

·         Demonstrated skills in the application of safety practices including hazard and risk management, incident investigation and audits.

·         Actively comply with industry standards and company policies and procedures.

·         Focus and passion for keeping people and the environment safe.

·         Demonstrated leadership behaviours that enables and empowers others to self-perform and achieve targets.

·         Current Queensland Open Driver’s License.

·         Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Project (desired)

·         Ability to pass the site-specific company Medical.

·         Preferred candidates to have Standard 11 and construction card.

·         Expose and experience to Glencore processes and system knowledge highly regarded.

·         Flexibility to work an Add Hoc Roster, could possibly work around own current roster pattern.

·         Excellent people engagement and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

·         Trainer assessor qualifications highly regarded.
