Position Overview: Â

We are currently undertaking Expression of Interest applications for an Engineering Manager to join projects within Brisbane and Melbourne. You will lead and manage a team of engineers to deliver high-quality and innovative solutions. This role requires technical expertise, leadership skills, and effective communication. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, set project priorities, and ensure the successful execution of engineering projects.Â

Key Responsibilities:Â

Team Leadership:Â

• Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to inspire and lead a team of engineers.Â

• Cultivate a positive, collaborative team culture fostering creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.Â

• Conduct regular performance reviews and establish development plans for team members.Â

Project Management:Â

• Develop and execute project plans ensuring timely delivery of high-quality engineering solutions.Â

• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and stakeholders to define project requirements and scope.Â

• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.Â

Technical Oversight:Â

• Offer technical guidance and expertise, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and standards.Â

• Cultivate a culture of innovation and continuous learning to keep the team abreast of the latest technologies and tools.Â

• Participate in design discussions to ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability of solutions.Â

Cross-functional Collaboration:Â

• Work closely with project managers, quality assurance, and other departments to align engineering efforts with overall business objectives.Â

• Facilitate communication between different teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.Â

Resource Management:Â

• Manage resource allocation, ensuring the team has the necessary skills and resources to meet project goals.Â

• Collaborate with HR to recruit, onboard, and retain top engineering talent.Â

Budget Management:Â

• Work with financial stakeholders to manage the engineering budget effectively.Â

• Provide input into budget planning, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently.Â

Â

Skills & Experience:Â

• Bachelor’s or master's degree in either of the following - Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, or Chemical Engineering.Â

• Proven experience in a leadership role within an engineering team.Â

• Experience working within either green hydrogen/ammonia/decarbonization or LNG projects required.Â

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Â

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Â

• Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools.Â

• Passionate about leading high performing integrated engineering teams and driving technical excellence.Â
