UGL’s Utilities Operations & Maintenance business is a trusted provider of services to owners of assets across power, water, and gas sectors. Building on our strong reputation and long-standing contracts in power distribution, transmission, and water operations and maintenance, we are poised for significant growth.
As we prepare for this exciting new phase, we’re launching a new Utilities Operations and Maintenance business in Western Australia. We are seeking Expressions of Interest for multiple key roles to establish our business in Perth giving you the opportunity to be part of the journey as we bolster our capacity to deliver operations and maintenance services within the utilities sector.
Expression of Interest: Operations Manager Utilities, Western Australia
What will a day in this role look like:
- Establish and implement strategic directions agreed with the General Manager for development and growth for the Western Australian Operations
- Drive safety, efficiency, profitability, consistency across all programs and projects.
- Provide input into the annual business plan and support Program and Project Managers in developing appropriate (and cascaded) business plans for project level
- Coach & Mentor Program Managers & Project Managers to ensure Project Management fundamentals are met.
- 10+ Years in an Operations Management role within the Asset Management, Engineering or Construction Industry
- Trade, Engineering, Business or Project Management Qualification
- Business and commercial acumen backed by ability to create, read and interpret budget reports
- Demonstrated ability to enact change and implement significant business improvements in areas of HSE, culture, client relationships and profitability
