What’s the job?
We are different. We are agile, we are bold and we like to make an impact. The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and day-to-day management of the facilities at the Campus. The Facilities Coordinator will carry out general day-to-day maintenance of the campuses, associated properties and grounds, including hands-on maintenance where required. This role may also require travel between the campuses regularly.

This is a Permanent Full-time opportunity to look after our Melbourne Campus.

NOTE: Candidate must have full-time working rights in Australia and be residing in the campus location. This role does not provide sponsorship opportunities. This role is fully working from campus.

Day-to-day accountabilities:

  • First point of contact for all maintenance enquiries and repairs

  • Build relationships with college and shared services staff as well as external contractors

  • Provide prompt response to all staff and student enquiries about the facilities, repairs and maintenance

  • Ensure that communications with staff and stakeholders is timely and effective

  • Coordinate set up of classrooms including any specialised equipment as required and undertake regular audits and ordering of classroom consumables

  • Carry out day-to-day repairs and maintenance of the campus as required including but not limited to:

  • changing light globes and fittings; changing tap filters and washers; unblocking toilets, drains and pipes; patching holes in walls; fixing doors, locks and floorboards; painting

  • The Assembly and moving of furniture; hanging pictures and bulletin boards; installing shelves; repairs to shelves, chairs, whiteboards and desks

Who you are

  • Experience in managing a range of stakeholders and trade coordination

  • Experience in managing various projects at the same time

  • Experience in facilities management protocols and maintenance planning

  • Awareness of Manual handling and WHS requirements

  • Current driver’s license

  • Knowledge and use of a range of software packages to support communications and administrative duties

  • Understanding of trades related to building maintenance and repair

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software necessary to create and maintain reports and logs
