We currently have an opportunity for a Facilities & Maintenance Manager to join our team in QLD. You will support the Downer Defence Contract for delivery of Estate Maintenance and Operations Services (EMOS) contract to the Department of Defence.
The purpose of the position is to support the EU Service Delivery Manager in overseeing the operational implementation of Estate Upkeep maintenance services.
What you'll do
The role has a broad remit, with key responsibilities outlined below:
- Oversee service delivery of tradespeople and subcontractors across the base services area sites and will liaise with the Delivery Manager during preparation and scheduling of Performance Based, Scheduled and Responsive Maintenance works.
- Support the planned maintenance requirements of each site, by assisting with the coordination and deployment of shared trade resources across other sites.
- Plan, schedule and deliver work for both Planned and Responsive Maintenance which includes unplanned, reactive & corrective maintenance; predictive & preventative maintenance; minor workplace adjustments.
- Support the EU Service Delivery Manager in all requirements associated with all maintenance scheduling and reporting.
What you'll bring
- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of Facilities Management and the ability to manage tradespeople and subcontractors.
- Experience and proven ability in the provision of sound advice to management and clients
- Sound knowledge of Facilities Management contract principals and understanding of WHS and Industrial Relations law and regulations.
- Knowledge of statutory obligations, Codes of practice and Building Code of Australia strong communication and negotiating skills.
- Suitability for Defence security clearance (Australian citizenship mandatory)
