Position Overview:
Reporting directly to the Regional Services Manager, the Facilities Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management and operational delivery of facilities at our nominated location.
As a Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for leading operational staff and subcontractors, ensuring the successful execution of facility management activities during weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Managing all weekend works to ensure delivery within contractual KPIs.
- Reviewing and approving contractor work permits promptly to ensure on-time completion.
- Conducting safety observations for all weekend work orders.
- Collaborating with the BGIS Operations Centre (Help Desk) to allocate works to subcontractors.
- Following up with subcontractors on urgent works to ensure timely completion.
- Providing regular updates and reporting to regional managers on work activities and progress.
- Provide real-time updates to clients and Regional Manager as work progresses.
- Communicating with business units that may be impacted by emergency works, providing progress updates when necessary.
- Receiving and managing all text alerts generated from the BMSs across the portfolio, assessing and raising work orders as required.
- Providing vendor escorting as necessary to complete works.
- Reviewing payment claims and signing off on completed works.
- Prioritizing customer advocacy through exceptional service.
- Actively managing employees and subcontractors through effective leadership and communication.
- Ensuring compliance with WHS & E policies and procedures by all stakeholders.
- Managing and reporting on the compliance of essential services.
- Upholding proactive and effective leadership to foster a cohesive and positive working environment.
- Facilitating close communication across regions to share best practices, innovations, and achievements.
Qualifications:
- Qualifications in Facilities Management, Property, Commerce, Business, or a similar discipline.
- Training in current WH&S, QA, and environmental legislations and systems.
- Proven ability in working within an integrated services and property model, delivering Facilities Management Services.
- Strong business acumen and commercial/contract understanding.
- Demonstrated experience in relationship management with external clients and contractors.
- Advanced understanding of current technical legislation related to Facilities Maintenance.
- Experience in aviation or high-risk complex industries.
- "Hands-on" management of medium contract teams.
- Experience in managing/supervising the delivery of subcontractors.
- Capability of working within an environment using QA, OH&S, and environmental systems.
- Proficiency in desktop applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Knowledge and experience in the use of Computerized Maintenance Management System(CMMS) knowledge.
