This role contributes to the distribution of Non-ferrous alloys around Australia.
The position requires the employee to help with the manufacture, of a large range of non-ferrous components, using a range of tooling and procedures within our Foundry and Mill. All work undertaken must meet quality standards and timelines. It is expected of the person in this position to be adaptive and flexible to work across different areas of the business.
ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT:
James Coppell Lee is a successful family run business with over 100 years’ experience.
In non-ferrous metals.
We take pride in maintaining a clean and safe environment running a full operational Mill and Foundry.
Producing high quality cast and wrought product, suppling Australia and abroad.
With a full 38-hour week spread over 4 days, allowing overtime on Fridays without cutting into family time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cutting Materials to length
- Operating various machinery and power tools.
- Packing and dispatching goods
- Total adherence with occupational health and safety.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times.
- Other duties that may arise from time to time.
HOURS OF OPERATION:
Mon-Thurs 6 am to 4 pm with option of working Fridays 6 am to 2pm at overtime rates if required.
We can also accommodate a 5-day week if required.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- A good understanding in measurement
- Practical experience with hand tools
- Capacity to work well within a team and contribute toward team objectives.
- Willingness to undertake training as required.
- Ability to ensure and maintain to a safe environment.
- Previous experience in a manual labour capacity.
DESIRED SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience in a warehouse
- Light truck License, Forklift License
- Previous experience working with metal.
