County Hope Expands to Dubbo and Seeks a Family and Community Relationship Officer

County Hope, a renowned organisation dedicated to supporting country families who have a child diagnosed with cancer or other life-threatening illnesses has expanded its services to Dubbo. To support this expansion, County Hope is currently seeking a Family and Community Relationship Officer to serve as a key liaison between families, the organisation, and the community.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Establishing and maintaining relationships with families in need, which includes things like:
  • Home and hospital visits
  • Online and telephone interactions
  • Assessment of emotional and financial support requirements
  • Organising secondary support services
  • Organising family support events
• Raising awareness of County Hope's mission and services within the community, which including:
  • Community/School/Organisation talks
  • Attending and representing Country Hope at community events
• Collaborating with the fundraising committee to support fundraising efforts
• Seeking sponsorship and grant opportunities to further support County Hope's initiatives
• Experience working with a CRM database would be desirable
• A strong work ethic and a demonstrated ‘can do’ attitude 
• Working With Children Check is a must
• Monthly report to the board of directors

The ideal candidate should be passionate about making a difference in their community and the lives of families who have a child diagnosed with cancer or other life-threatening illnesses and possess strong communication skills. The role is part-time, requiring 20 hours per week, and on occasion some out of hour’s work/meetings. The successful candidate will be the go-to person for families seeking support. Additionally, the ability to work independently and manage time effectively is essential for this position.

Until Country Hope is better established in Dubbo, you will be working from home. Salary Sacrifice is available. Laptop will be provided. A vehicle could possibly be provided in time.
