An outstanding opportunity has opened up for an enthusiastic and experienced Family LawSecretary to join our dynamic team to support our Senior Associate in our busy and extensive Family Law department.
DBL Solicitors is a well-known market leader with an established client base and excellent reputation. We are recruiting a legal secretary who will complement our experienced legal team.
With the guidance and supervision your role will include:
- Providing secretarial and seamless support to our Family Law Senior Associate;
- Drafting of correspondence and general system generated documents;
- Knowledge of Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (FCFCOA) forms and procedures;
- Contacting clients to update them on the progress of their matters;
- Processing and emailing client correspondence;
- Scheduling meetings and management of calendars; and
- File opening and closing.
To be successful in this role you will have strong organisation skills and attention to detail, have previous experience working in Family Law and the ability to work accurately and efficiently during busy periods.
The role requires a highly motivated individual who will embrace the opportunity to deliver exceptional support to our Senior Associate.
You will be a proactive person who can demonstrate a high degree of initiative, dedication and organisational ability. It is also essential that you possess the following skills:
- Minimum 2 years Family Law secretarial experience;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Discretion and honesty when working with sensitive and confidential client information;
- Ability to work pro-actively within a team environment;
- Sound typing skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel;
- Knowledge of FCFCOA online portal
- Knowledge of Open Practice or other legal accounting software and Lawdocs (highly regarded, but not essential).
