Form of workSeeking Solicitor with at least 3-5 years PAE in Family Law for a Part Time Position. The role is a flexible one that would suit a candidate that is looking to primarily work from home but can also attend to Court commitments in the Newcastle Registry of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia as required and attend the office in Forster for in person client conferences once per week or fortnight depending on demand.
The firm:
Drinkwater Criminal and Family Lawyers is a firm based in Forster on the Mid North Coast. Due to heavy demand, we are looking to expand the Family Law section of the firm. The firm has a strong commitment to and focus on flexible working arrangements.
The firm currently has a principal whose practice includes Criminal and Family Law matters, an employed solicitor with a focus on Criminal Law and two very experienced and competent support staff. We are seeking a Solicitor to assist with the increasing Family Law demand. The successful applicant will have access to regular support and assistance from the principal and support staff.
About the role:
The successful applicant will
- at least three (3) years PAE in family law
- be able to work autonomously
- be focused on client outcomes
- be able to provide confident advice and advocacy to clients
- have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- be able to work with a range of clients and to take on challenging legal issues
- Membership of Legal Aid panels would be an advantage to any potential candidate
- Experience in Criminal Law would also be an advantage to any potential candidate

Commencement would be on a part time flexible basis, and remuneration would be dependent on experience and suitability.
