Form of workAn exciting opportunity has become available for a full-time Practice Manager at Hunter Cataract & Eye Centre. You will be working alongside two doctors and managing a team of 13 Staff.
The Practice is located in the center of Charlestown with private parking within the building.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Overall management of the practice
- Payroll
- Rosters and time sheets though Deputy
- Supervision of service and maintenance of practice equipment and stock.
- Maintaining practice policy and procedures
- Human Resource management
- Employment contracts
- Managing the support team with the preparation of surgery quotations, consent form and surgery bookings
- Banking reconciliation and debt collection
- Liaising with the Bookkeeper
Skills and experience essential for this position will include:
- Previous experience working within a similar role, preferably for a surgical specialist practice
- Practice Management qualifications highly regarded such as CPMAAPM; Cert IV or Diploma
- Experience in using Genie Software, Eclipse and Medical Objects
- Self –motivated, ambitious and highly driven
- Ability to effectively coach, mentor and lead a small team of staff
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A friendly and professional manner
Skills and experience desired for this position include:-
- Prior work experience in Practice Management
- Experience with Deputy, MYOB Accounting and Payroll software beneficial but not required.
- Familiar with Fair Work Australia Award for Health Professionals and Support Services Award
The successful applicant must be prepared to assume responsibility for the smooth running of the Practice including out of hours responsibilities from time to time.
Wage negotiable depending upon experience.
