Caring for our city, creating a future for all

Our people are passionate about their communities and connected to their teams. They’re motivated by our genuine commitment to diversity and inclusion, and our clear, compelling plan for our global city: Sustainable Sydney 2030 – 2050 Continuing the Vision.

Be part of a purpose-led organisation, with care at its core. You’ll make a difference by acting in the best interests of our communities and city. Be better together with collaborative and inclusive partnerships. Embrace possibilities and be open to new ideas and creating bold solutions.

Are you passionate about teaching, sustainability and urban agriculture? Do you enjoy a balance between working in a hands-on outdoor environment and being office based?

We are seeking a well organised communicator with networking skills to design and lead operational, administrative and delivery aspects of the Sydney City Farm learning programs including formal and informal programs for adults and children, community events, outreach programs, and Farm interpretative elements.

You will ideally have tertiary qualifications in training and assessment and / or extensive experience in the design, delivery and evaluation of education programs, community events and learning resources with a sustainability or food production focus.

Excellent communication skills are required, as is a proven track record in balancing and responding flexibly to competing priorities, and to work effectively both as part of a team and with minimal supervision.

A full description of the position objectives, position accountabilities and essential criteria are set out in the position description link below.

At the City of Sydney you’ll join a dedicated team where individual effort is part of something much bigger – creating great things for our city’s dynamic future.

To apply: Upload your resume and respond to the application questions to show how you meet the role’s requirements. Select 'Apply' to complete your online application.

The successful applicant is required to undertake a pre-employment medical examination, national criminal check and NSW Working with Children Check. A current first aid certificate or willingness to undertake relevant training is also required.
