Field Officer
- Full time position, 38 hours per week
- Job Location: Dubbo - Servicing Regional (Dubbo/Parkes), Western & Far Western NSW.
MLAHMC Ltd is an Aboriginal Housing Management Organisation in NSW, established in 2004. As a registered Tier 2 provider under the National Regulatory System for Community Housing, MLAHMC manages approximately 750 properties in various communities within the state.

We are seeking a Field Officer to provide effective, efficient, and reliable day to day tenancy and property management services.

About the Role
Key functions of the role:
- Maintain agreed community visit schedule to ensure reliable service delivery.
- Develop effective working relationships with property owners, tenants and tradespeople.
- Complete tenancy sign up procedures.
- Implement rent management strategies to ensure rental arrears are minimal.
- Complete property inspections within allocated timeframes/schedules.
- Complete repairs and maintenance requests and ensure completion.
- Prepare and present cases to the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT) or in other legal forums as may be required.
To be successful in this role you'll need
- Possess cultural awareness and sensitivity for Aboriginality and demonstrated understanding of Aboriginal cultural beliefs and attitudes and the challenges and impacts in relation to housing and related assistance with a demonstrated commitment to client service.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Proven ability to work to a high demand workload with competing priorities and influence others to achieve outcomes.
- Computer competency in Microsoft Office suite, and use of internet.
- Capacity to work independently, and in a team environment.
- Current driver's license and ability to travel to perform the position duties regularly (bi-weekly or as required).
