The Opportunity
Find your ME at MEGT and join Australia’s single largest Apprenticeship Service Provider (ASP) as we expand and grow our footprint in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and Western Australia (WA).
This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a driven Field Operations Manager (FOM) to oversee a brand-new region and team, delivering the sales, marketing and stakeholder engagement activities while promoting MEGT as a quality Australian Apprenticeships Support Service (AASS) provider.
Based in Canberra, this dynamic role will also ensure the delivery of Assessment Services which ensures high quality pre-commencement advice for all newly commencing Apprentices, key client group re-commencing Apprentices and Employers requiring support with the overall aim of ensuing the success of the apprenticeship program.
Reporting to the QLD State Manager, this key management role will closely partner and collaborate with a variety of diverse customers including Group Training networks, employers, Government Departments, VET training providers and secondary schools to deliver a consistently high standard of performance to support to create employment solutions that change lives for the better.
About you
You will be a motivated, empowering, and positive leader with demonstrated management experience, a flair for business development and the ability to manage sales and service delivery face to face (F2F) including:
- Previous experience in, or an understanding of the VET sector
- Knowledge of Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and Group Training Organisation (GTO) processes and relevant issues in relation to VET system
- Comprehensive knowledge of DEWR and STA guidelines/procedures
- Proven management experience including driving and influencing a team to achieve performance, financial and contractual commitments
- Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and delivering strategic sales plans as well as presentations to medium to large prospective employers/RTOs
- Capability in implementing client retention strategies
- Commitment to providing high levels of customer service to clients
- Ability to meet and exceed KPIs and contractual requirements in a multi-dimensional environment and maximise fee for service
- Ability to acquire knowledge of new programs in a short time frame and manage staff to deliver results
- Well-developed planning skills with the ability to organise, prioritise and illustrate time management skills including capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High level analysis skills and the ability to develop and present reports for senior management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Relevant management qualification or industry experience desirable
- High level of skill with Microsoft products
- Current driver licence or ability to travel
