FIELD TECHS (4) – GREATER MELBOURNE & SURROUNDS

• Calling experienced Cablers / Electricians: ABN or employees NOW!
• 3G to 4G upgrade – FIRE ALARMS (panels) 
• 8:30/9:00 am to 5:00 pm Mon to Fri
• $65.00/hr + Super (or $72.15/hr if ABN/self-employed)
• Use own vehicle. (Kms paid only on exceptional trips, outside a 120kms radius of the CBD)

Our client, based in Melbourne’s south-east, has a ten week requirement for an additional 4 casuals, to supplement their own team efforts. Their contract is to supply hands-on, on-site technicians who will attend a large range of office premises on the outskirts of Melbourne (NOT the CBD). The expectation is to perform an average of 4 completed jobs per day, but this will depend on distances travelled. Care will be taken by experienced service coordinators/despatchers to allocate jobs “close by” in a logical geographical manner, as much as possible.

The rate offered, at $72.15/hr inclusive for all (whether self-employed, or as an employee of Employer Hub) includes fuel, tolls etc. with the exception made for ‘the odd sites at a distance further than the radius of 120kms from the CBD’. You will need similar experience in the electrical/fire alarm field, as well as multi-site, client-facing experience.

We expect you to have your own basic tools, but any special tools will be provided. We do NOT envisage much, if any, working up ladders, as the FIRE PANELS are sited well (mostly in the building’s lobby). There may be a need to access roofs on SOME sites, so fitness levels need to be considered. We will require your skills & experience with coax cables and the ability to swap out boards in fire panels.

Induction is expected to take one day (paid) and thereafter a “buddying up” with other techs will enable you to soon feel comfortable about the routine and expectation.

You will need a smart phone so that calls can be allocated, and you will be expected to complete a digital log of sites visited, reporting any anomalies/difficulties back to head office. Full support at our client’s H.O.is available.
