Purpose of the Role
To manage, reconcile and optimise the transactions relating to the company’s payable and receivable accounts, ensuring optimal cash generation and compliance with internal and external regulations. To support the finance team in delivery of meaningful reporting, analysis and insight on company performance
About You
- Graduate with 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to add valuable insight from data
- Willingness to adapt, pivot and grow to meet the needs of a dynamic and evolving business
- High quality written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within finance and cross-functionally
- Organised and able to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and experience of working with accounting software (Xero preferred but not essential)
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, expense reports, and payments. Responsible for raising invoices, credit notes, and proactive debt management
- Conduct regular reconciliations of AR accounts, investigating and resolving issues with our partners
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and input into cash forecasts
- Provide insight into the company’s performance by producing reports on sales and KPI’s and additional ad hoc reporting as required
- Provide support for month-end close and reporting to key stakeholders on performance vs budget and forecast
- Support with calculating sales agent commission payments
- Support with the preparation of primary statements (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash flow) and assisting in the year-end audit
