We are seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our team and play a crucial role in driving financial performance and strategic decision-making. This is a work from home position.

The Position:
The Finance Business Partner is responsible for supporting the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager in the delivery of the regulatory and statutory reporting requirements of the organisation. Including high-quality management accounting, reporting, analysis and advice. This role will also provide support to the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager in implementing various process improvement projects undertaken within the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly management reports tracking financial performance against budget.
- Providing commentary on management reports.
- Cashflow management and forecasting.
- Variance analysis around actual results compared to the budget and forecast for each profit and loss cost centre.
- Analysing trends and financial performance across business units.
- Benchmarking performance of the different cost centres and analysis of data to assist managers in making decisions.
- Ongoing financial analysis of the results and projects.
- Completion of industry benchmark reporting.
- Assist in compiling the annual budget and forecasting.
- Assist with the Year End Accounts, Annual Audit and Internal Audit.
- Assist the finance team where required around month-end responsibilities, including reconciliations.
- Taking part in system’s and process improvement initiatives.
- A dedicated focus on value-add to the business, reviewing and improving processes and procedures and providing of insightful analysis to internal and external stakeholders, as required.
Requirements
What you can bring to the role:
Essential:
- Tertiary qualification in Business or Commerce, with accounting major.
- Professional accounting qualification or progress towards a CPA/CA qualification.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a prior management accountant role.
- Strong analytical skills and demonstrated experience in the collection, manipulation, analysis and reporting of data.
- Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).
Desirable:
- Experience in residential aged care.
- Experience in Power BI or similar programs
