What You'll Be Doing
This role will be responsible for shaping financial outcomes for the Mid North Coast Local Health District (MNCLHD) through driving the activity-based funding policy and activity-based costing, budgeting, and financial performance management and reporting activities.
Responsible for providing support services for the management of hospitals and other larger facilities including multiple services and sites. Development of annual budgets, preparation of monthly narratives and other financial reports. Partnering with cost centre managers to achieve strategies, implement financial management controls and build financial knowledge within the business.
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA) approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine (except for the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine, which is approved by the TGA as a single dose primary course).
New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health or provide an Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) immunisation history statement certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW. A NSW Health agency may require further information about the medical contraindication (including but not limited to an Immunisation Medical Exemption form – IM011 form).
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s. These awards are available at http://www.health.nsw.gov.au/careers/conditions/pages/default.aspx.

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or extensive relevant experience in a large and diverse service industry organisation, or a combination of study and work experience (CPA or CA membership required).
- Extensive experience in using data management and analysis skills to achieve improved operational outcomes preferably within a large organisation with demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret complex service activity data in an operational context within acute and primary health service.
- Highly developed ability to provide effective and authoritative specialist advice and recommendations in relation to business management and service delivery issues, (including financial, activity-based costing and funding and workforce) within a large multidisciplinary, diverse, service delivery organisation.
- Advanced computer skills utilising varied and appropriate software programs (eg use of ERP systems, excel, BI tools, data management systems and word processing).
- Demonstrated excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills including highly developed ability to consult, negotiate and delegate effectively with a diverse range of people.
- Excellent organisational, analytical and complex problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities to ensure quality outcomes and timely delivery of services.
- Highly developed and effective management and conflict resolution skills
- Current Drivers License and ability to travel as required.
