You will support the implementation of our organisation's growth strategy by providing data driven insights and financial analysis which drives business performance.The ideal candidate for this role will be CPA/CA Qualified, have demonstrated experience as a Business Partner, building trusted partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, very strong communication skills and be willing to listen, challenge, and advise. Prior experience working in Local Government or within a Community Care or Aged Care organisation will be an advantage.Experience in ERP systems (Authority, Magiq and PowerBI) preferred and advanced level of Excel proficiency a must.You will be responsible for:
- Budgeting: Planning and development of the Community Care annual operating budget.
- External Reporting: Annual and quarterly financial reporting.
- Internal Reporting: Monthly financial reporting for the Governance Committee and the Executive Team as required.
- Systems Accounting: Maintain an in-depth understanding of Council's multiple information systems, resolving complex information requirements and negotiating effective outcomes to achieve meaningful reporting.
- Financial Modelling: Provide financial modelling support as well as insightful data and benchmarking analysis for monthly reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
- CPA Australia or Institute of Chartered Accountants membership.
- Demonstrated 5+ years' experience in Finance Business Partnering functions, including being a trusted advisor by providing analysis and assessment of complex financial information.
- An understanding of Aged Care legislation and proposed reforms to understand the funding models and rules.
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills.
- Identify and define process and/or system improvements to enhance ability to deliver on objectives.
- Strong excel and financial modelling skills.
- Be willing to undergo and complete a satisfactory criminal history check.
- Provide or obtain an employment-based Working with Children check.
