Finance Business Partner

We are excited to announce that our Norco ice cream factory in Lismore has reopened and we now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join the Norco team on a full-time permanent basis. This role can be located either in our Lismore office (NSW) or our Labrador office (QLD).

About the role:

As a key member of the site leadership team, the Finance Business Partner, will partner and support the finance and business activities primarily focused on Norco's ice cream factory in Lismore, owning the finance relationship with the site operations team.

You will support an activity-based costing methodology and enable effective planning and decision support for all manufacturing activities and decisions. Additionally, you may also assist in a cross functional capacity in other business areas and so agility and the ability to assist and support other Business Partners will be an important feature of this role.

Surrounded by the beautiful Northern Rivers region, the office and factory are located a short commute from the relaxed coastal environments of Ballina and Byron Bay and other coastal communities such as Evans and Lennox Head as well as picturesque inland townships of Bangalow, Alstonville, Casino and Kyogle. If you are based on the Gold Coast based, you will be based out of our newly renovated Labrador office and using our fleet vehicles you will need to be able to travel to Lismore as well as occasional travel to other sites to foster broader business understanding and collaboration.

Key role responsibilities include:

• Prepare, analyse, and review monthly business performance across P&L, balance sheet, and working capital.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting, optimizing resources, and providing insights into future performance.
• Collaborate with senior executives to achieve overall business objectives and profitability improvement.
• Drive business performance through commercial insights, KPI establishment, and strategic support.
• Participate in the annual external audit process.
• Review capital needs for manufacturing and monitor and measure capital projects.
• Contribute financial support to the strategic initiatives of the business.

Skills and experience required to be successful in this role:

We are seeking a candidate with a proven track record in Business Partnering, showcasing an ability to build robust relationships and actively contribute to strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in analysis and reporting functions, with the capability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial, as you will be partnering and collaborating with varied stakeholders, including senior executives and cross-functional teams.

We value strong problem-solving capabilities, and will be trusting you to navigate challenges, contribute to continuous improvement, and drive positive, solution and outcomes focused change.

To be considered for the position, you should have:

• Tertiary Degree - Accounting, Finance.
• CA/CPA membership.
• 5+ years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment, FMCG preferred.
• SAP experience essential.
• High level financial analysis skills.
• Demonstrated abilities to advise and deliver sound commercial decisions and outcomes.
• Strong focus on process as a performance driver and ability to drive process improvement.
