AddressThe EL2 Director will be responsible for the internal financial management of this federal government agency.
This is a permanent role, open to candidates Australia wide, offering a competitive salary between $135 000 and 160 000.
You must be an Australian Citizen with a CA or CPA to be considered for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the effective and timely delivery of the organisations:
- Internal management reporting including monthly monitoring and variance reporting and development of accurate forecasts.
- Internal budgets process including annual budget setting for operational and capital funding and development of out-year Budgets and forecasts.
- Capital Management Plan
- Financial modelling, analysis, reporting and forecasting of volumes, revenue, and expenses.
- Cost Recovery Implementation Statement processes.
Other responsibilities include:
- Identify and lead improvements to financial strategies, policies, processes, and systems, including business leadership of projects.
- Provide timely and accurate financial intelligence to inform management decision making.
- Develop and manage key stakeholder relationships
- Lead and build a team
Qualifications and essential requirements:
- High level leadership and people management skills.
- High level stakeholder management, communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills including the ability to prepare and present information to Senior Executive and key stakeholders at various levels.
- An outstanding track record in leading and delivering high quality finance advice in a complex environment.
- Knowledge of and compliance with legislative frameworks and government decision-making, in an accounting/finance context.
- A demonstrated experience of strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, evaluation and/or decision making.
- CA / CPA qualifications (or substantial progress towards them) are essential.
