An exciting permanent full-time opportunity has become available for an experienced Finance Business Partner. Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant - Bulk Business this position is part of a team providing financial reporting and analysis to the Operations division.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent;
Eligible for membership of the Australian Society of CPA’s or the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia; and
Extensive accounting experience in a commercial environment including business partnering experience.
Technical, Professional and Specialist Skills:
Extensive experience in the development and use of computerised financial management information systems and financial modelling tools;
Well-developed stakeholder engagement skills including ability to communicate with all levels of management from operations staff to general managers;
Well-developed ability in planning/organising work priorities and setting/achieving performance targets;
Well-developed analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills;
High level interpersonal and negotiation skills;
High level written and verbal communication skills; and
Willingness to engage with operations including site visits where required.
Key duties of this position include:
Facilitate the preparation and consolidation of the Operations division revenue and expenditure data.
Perform monthly revenue and expenditure accruals and conduct detailed analysis to ensure quality and accuracy of accruals.
Analyse and provide advice in relation to accounting treatment of expenditure in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards.
Prepare the monthly financial reporting suite for management including variance analysis and commentary and lead the discussion of financial performance in the month end performance meetings.
Build excellent relationships with the GM Operations & business managers, and engage key stakeholders to ensure financials are well understood
Understand period performance, business risks and opportunities and determine impact on future financial performance and provide insightful analyses to support decision-making.
