Finance Clerk - Novotel Brisbane Airport

The Brisbane Airport Hotels Group encompasses the Pullman, Novotel and ibis Brisbane Airport Hotels, as well as the Brisbane Airport Conference Centre. With 532 guest rooms, 3 restaurants, Rooftop Event Space, Executive Lounge and 17 meeting spaces. Located at the Brisbane Airport precinct, it is the first accommodation and meeting and event space to be developed in this precinct.  

Novotel Brisbane Airport are currently seeking a Finance Clerk to join the Finance team on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Hotel Accountant, this is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated professional to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for assisting with the daily operation of the Finance department, directly overseeing and assisting with daily transaction reconciliations, accounts payable and receivables, and other ad hoc duties.

Key duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

• Banking and cash taking tasks.
• Petty cash recording and reconciliation.
• Bank reconciliation.
• Accounts receivable.
• Accounts Payable.
• Credit card daily reconciliation.
• Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
• Maintain contracts between customers/suppliers with the Hotel, periodical review and renegotiation. 

The successful candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Previous experience as a Finance Clerk or similar role desirable but not essential
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to effectively manage own time to meet set deadlines 
• Work well under pressure
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and Opera desirable
• Authentic customer service, interpersonal and communication skills 
• Flexible approach to resolve issues to desired outcome
