About the role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Control Analyst to join our Finance team at Sydney Airport. This role involves developing and implementing robust revenue assurance measures across various billing streams, ensuring accuracy and completeness of billing data. You will drive process improvements and work closely with IT and other finance teams to enhance data quality and financial controls. Additionally, you will contribute to core financial control activities, including preparation of month-end journals and basic balance sheet reconciliations.
What you’ll be doing:
- Take ownership of the billing revenue assurance process, manage variance investigations, and identify anomalies to ensure billing accuracy.
- Maintain high standards of data quality through regular assessments and analysis. Foster relationships with key internal and external data providers to enhance the data flow and accuracy.
- Assist in core financial control activities, including preparing month-end journals and performing basic balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure timely compliance with all financial reporting requirements.
- Actively identify and implement process improvements, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of the financial operations.
What skills you’ll bring:
- A holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- CPA or CA qualification is highly preferred.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in revenue assurance, accounting, or financial analysis.
- Experience in the aviation industry or familiarity with airport operations is beneficial but not essential.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerBI, with strong analytical skills to identify trends and anomalies.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of dealing with stakeholders at all levels.
- You are detail-oriented, focusing on accuracy and completeness in tasks.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
