The Opportunity

As our Finance Coordinator, you’ll play the crucial role of ensuring smooth financial operations for our office and supporting exceptional services to our community.

The opportunity encompasses a wide variety of responsibilities which will further develop your finance and administration skills. 

Working as part of a supportive and passionate team, you’ll be at the heart of our organisation, contributing to our culture and overseeing the day-to-day financial operations.
 
The Role

You will be responsible for supporting the Senior Finance Officer & Bookkeeper in delivering strategic financial management for HorizonOne. The main areas of focus are;

• Managing debtors and reconciliations
• Invoicing
• Financial reporting
• Contractor reporting
• Monthly compliance reporting

This is a varied role supporting internal staff, working with a regular book of contractors, who are paid fortnightly, and a casual workforce of up to 80 staff. As such time management and stakeholder engagement will be two of your strongest assets.
 
The Ideal Person

This role is being offered as a permanent part time position, approximately 20 – 25 hours a week. As such is may suit someone looking to step back from a high-volume role or potentially suit someone looking for greater work / life balance.

Essentially, we are looking for someone to hit the ground running, so proven experience in payroll and financial positions is a must have as well as a great understanding of general financial principal and practices.

In addition you’ll need;

• Proficiency in using MYOB. Whilst being adapt at learning new technologies, such as Astute and Bullhorn
• Excellent organisation and multitasking abilities
• Effective communication and interpersonal skill, both written and verbal
• Experience in a similar high volume administrative role

 
Salary / Rate

• $65k - $75k + 11% Super (Pro Rata)
• Free parking in Braddon; $1000 Health and Wellbeing Allowance
• Additional 4 paid leave days per year (quarterly 'human days') and a further 2 days volunteer leave for working with a charity of your choice
