About the role?
The purpose of the Finance Coordinator role is to provide planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial support and compliance services in accordance with relevant legislation and funding body requirements.
In this varied role you will be required to:
- Prepare monthly reports and briefs, ensuring they present a true picture of the organisation’s financial position;
- Prepare CatholicCare’s financial projections as required;
- Provide expert advice and support to the Leadership team in the financial monitoring, planning, forecasting, budgeting and analysis of CatholicCare’s programs and to support further planning and decisions for CatholicCare’s sustainability;
- Complete all financial reports for all funding and contractual obligations, providing financial and acquittal reports as required by funding bodies;
- Participate in the development, implementation and review of CatholicCare’s strategic and operational business plans;
- Develop, review and administer all administrative and infrastructure contracts and liaise with external contractors as required;
- Assist in the development and enhancement of policies and procedures relevant to the operations of CatholicCare;
- Develop CatholicCare’s Budgets and provide Budget Reports as required.
To apply for this role you must have:
- Hold a tertiary qualification in finance, accounting or business management;
- Hold a valid current driver’s licence;
- Have a current (or eligibility for) Qld Working with Children Check – ‘Blue Card’;
- Have a current (or eligibility for) Australian Criminal History Check;
- If applicable, have evidence of Australian Work Rights to confirm citizenship or a visa holder.
- Experience in a similar role and/or relevant knowledge in finance and accounting
