Our client is a well reputable and leading provicer in aged care services and they are seeking a new joiner for their Finance team.
The Finance Manager is responsible for all financial and management reporting, budgeting, financial management systems, cash management, unit loans and accommodation bonds, financial management systems, cash management, unit loans and accommodation bonds, financial policies and procedures, audit requirements and administration.
Your new role
- Financial reporting and budgeting - operating and capital budgets are developed, updated, monitored and reported against. Meet all reporting deadlines including monthly and annual reporting timeframes.
- Cash and investment management - cash holdings meet operational outlays, borrowings meet construction costs with minimised interest exposure; bank and investment returns are managed in accordance with established policies.
- Loans and bond Registers are maintained, repayment obligations met as per agreements.
- Management reporting - ensures management reporting systems are appropriate, monitor income, expenses, capital and investments and provide trend analysis.
- Accounting systems are accurate, efficient and meet audit requirements.
- Creditors - manage account/creditor processing with efficiency gains and compliance.
- Debtors - manage the invoicing and debt collection and recovery process.
- Assist in financial modelling of policy/projects with business analysis of programs/services.
- Administering the financial management systems - data integrity, business functionality is optimised, controls, guidelines and training are in place.
- Team management - lead/mentor in the provision of excellent service to all stakeholders.
- Manage the central administration requirements and business relationship between administration and management at operating locations for mutual efficiency and productivity.
- Manage the evaluation and risk assessment of the long term financial position underpinning the development of financial strategy and forecast for inclusion in the Strategic and Business Plan.
- Maintain professional registration and advise of any changes to registration.
What you'll need to succeed
Essential requirements:
- Formal tertiary qualifications in Finance or Accounting.
- Professional registration as a CPA or Chartered Accountant
Essential skills:
- Demonstrated experience of managing a diverse financial function.
- Demonstrated strong financial and accounting skills.
- High level business acumen, understanding and skills, including project management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to research, gather and analyse information in report format.
- High level IT skills in financial accounting systems.
- High level skills in Microsoft Office.
- Superior interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders.
- Experience of managing, developing and leading a diverse team of employees.
