Our client is a dedicated non-profit organization passionate about making a positive impact in the community through various programs and services. They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager to join their team and help achieve their financial goals.
The Role
The Finance Manager will play a crucial role in managing the financial health of our client's organization. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong financial acumen and a commitment to the non-profit's mission. The Finance Manager will oversee all financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, developing financial strategies, and supporting the organization's overall objectives.
Responsibilities:
· Manage the day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
· Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure efficient financial management and compliance with regulatory requirements.
· Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses for the executive team and board of directors.
· Monitor cash flow, accounts, and other financial transactions.
· Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and the finance committee of the board of directors.
· Oversee grant management and ensure compliance with funding requirements.
· Provide strategic recommendations to the executive team based on financial analysis and projections, cost identification and allocation, and revenue/expense analysis.
· Supervise and mentor finance staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
· Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure the organization's financial practices remain compliant and effective.
· Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and long-term financial planning.
Your Skills & Experience
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Economics, or related field.
- CPA or CA qualified or working towards your qualification.
- At least 5 years' experience in accounting/analytical experience.
- Team management/leadership experience held with high regard.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information to the broad audience.
- Strong presentation and storyboarding skills
