The Opportunity
The Finance Manager is the lead finance team role for Etymon Projects across payments, management reporting and project finance requirements. The role is broad and dynamic where you will lead financial reporting and provide commercial support to Etymon at an entity level and assist with project accounting.
With stakeholder management and communication as key skills, you will execute and manage the implementation of changes and enhancements to systems and processes. Additionally, you will identify and report continuous improvement initiatives in relation to the Etymon entities, accounting processes and systems.
The Role
- Oversight of the accounts payable function ensuring invoices are processed correctly.
- Oversight and accountability for Etymon Entities within NetSuite.
- Maintain Etymon General ledger for each entity in Netsuite including journals.
- Prepare weekly KPI reports and assist with analysis of results.
- Develop monthly venue P&Ls, analyze results against KPIs and report to Etymon SLT.
- Liaise with CEO on performance verses budgets / forecasts and exception reporting.
- Ensure procedures and controls are in place to maintain the integrity of data and reporting.
- Proactively assist the business identify and roll-out initiatives that will improve business profitability
- Maintain strong internal control systems over budgets, cost management & payments
- Be able to analyse and interpret performance of each entity and do adhoc analysis as required.
- Assist with year-end audit processes.
- Provide functional guidance and support to the junior accountant.
- Assist Etymon Senior Leadership Team with inputs to business proposals as required.
- Actively encourage teamwork, through providing effective leadership and communication.
- Foster an environment of continuous improvement by challenging existing ways of doing business and investigating new opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct all activities in accordance with the Quality, Safety & Environmental Management System.
Experience & Qualifications
- Degree qualifications in finance or business accounting or an equivalent discipline.
- Post graduate qualifications CA or CPA.
- Experience using Netsuite is an advantage.
- Experience in similar roles in a hospitality/retail company or group.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Finance Manager plus years Management Accounting experience.
- Strong Microsoft Word and Excel software skills.
