We are searching for an experienced Finance Manager to report to the Financial Controller.
About you
- You have previous dealership experience with an understanding of the automotive retail industry. You are familiar with the specific terminology, processes and challenges that are unique to a dealership environment.
- CPA Qualified or appropriate Tertiary Qualification in business or business administration, with proven capability in financial accounting and reporting, with a minimum of 5 years experience.
- Qualification in tax for review and compliance purposes.
- Problem-solving, planning, organising, and analytical skills with the ability to guide and coach others in the resolution of complex problems, manage competing priorities, and deliver quality results on tight deadlines.
- Experience with cashflow management, budget management, tax, accounting, financial modeling, business planning, and insurance is deemed relevant.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate decision making, influence and build relationships with key stakeholders.
- Ability to lead a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, support and training as necessary.
- Computer literacy and accuracy.
Core responsibilities
- Maintenance of accounts records.
- Management of including working capital and vehicle inventory.
- Ownership of month-end close.
- Oversight of year-end audit close.
- Analyse financial data and provide insights to senior management for decision making purposes
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Manage cash flow to meet operational needs and financial obligations.
- Supervise and mentor a team of financial professionals, including accountants and clerks.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
- Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable processes to optimize cash flow.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements .
