ABOUT THE ROLE
The Finance Manager is a key member of the management team responsible for the day-to-day operations of the finance department. This role reports to the CFO and has the support of an Accounts Clerk. You will have a hands-on approach, ensuring the seamless integration of the financial processes within Stacked Farm. Key tasks:
- Budget monitoring - meeting monthly/quarterly with department heads to ensure expenditures are within budget
- Risk management - stay vigilant for potential financial risks or discrepancies and promptly report these to the CFO.
- Compliance - ensure financial operations adhere to company policies, and regulatory requirements
- Financial reporting - prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports and forecasts. Present financial information to the leadership team.
- Collaboration - work closely with department heads to optimise efficiencies in process
- Cash management - manage cash flow by monitoring receivables, payables and liquidity. Working closely with project team to ensure cash flow alignment with project priorities and milestones
- Auditing - assist the CFO in coordinating internal audits
- Data integrity - ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial data
- Training of teams in department allocations, correct costings etc.
ABOUT YOU
The right candidate will have the ability to navigate a diverse range of tasks, and be agile to move with the direction of the business. The ideal applicant will have the following skillset:
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills
- Excellent time management skills ensuring all financial transactions are delivered on time
- Research and Development Tax Incentive claims experience desirable
- Comprehensive knowledge of preparing consolidated financials and tax return preparation for a group of entities
- Experience using Xero and Accuri Financial Reporting Software. Experience using NetSuite or similar enterprise accounting software is desirable.
- Research and development claims experience
- Solid knowledge of Australian financial regulations and compliance
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA qualified (desirable)
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Gold Coast region.
