About the Role:
Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer, the Finance Manager will be responsible for the delivery of finance, accounting, and investment operational services which underpin the investment management elements across the business.
Key Accountabilities:
- Managing all aspects of the finance function, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and investment operations.
- Leading and managing the monthly financial reporting functions for the business.
- Leading the external audit of the year-end financial statements and being a key liaison with the external auditors.
- Financial and management accounting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and policies.
- Preparing and submitting the BAS.
- Business analysis, performing financial and operational analysis, identifying risks and opportunities, and providing solutions to improve business performance and efficiency.
- Liaising with external investment managers and fund administrators regarding month-end unit prices.
- 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Preference for both fund accounting and financial accounting experience.
- Must be a qualified Accountant.
- Experience working for an endowment fund is highly desirable.
- Highly organized, with excellent strategic thinking skills and attention to detail.
