Bedford is excited announce a new job opening for a Finance Manager/Bookkeeper to join our company. As a business that operates in the construction industry and has ambitious growth plans, we are searching for a passionate and proactive Finance Manager/Bookkeeper who can lead and nurture a small team.
Reporting and collaborating with our Commercial Manager/Finance Controller, the newly appointed Finance Manager/Bookkeeper will lead the overall management of the company’s finances, including but not limited to:
- Management-level financial reporting
Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, AP & AR, Cash flow statement - Maintaining company accounts, general ledger, other ledgers, etc
Daily bank reconciliations
Credit card reconciliations
Journals - Managing accounts payable, issuing invoices
- Supplier management, supplier statement reconciliations
- Managing accounts receivable
- Managing payroll for circa 30 Staff
- Ensure Compliance with relevant legislation “BIF (Security of Payments) Act 2017
- BAS, Super & PAYG Preparation Lodgement
- Assisting with budget and forecasting
Do you have what we are looking for?
- 7+ years of bookkeeping / financial reporting experience
- Experience within the construction sector - desirable
- Experience with construction based accounting software, preferably Jonas Premier or similar
- Organisational and time management skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues & clients
