Your new role:
Reporting to the Financial Controller this is a key leadership position within the finance team responsible for overseeing and directing the financial activities of the organisation. This role will see you working closely with Group Corporate Team based in Europe to ensure deadlines are met and technical accounting issues are resolved.
This role plays a crucial role in providing financial insights to support decision-making and contributing to the overall financial health of the company. This role will also see you:
- Lead the monthly and quarterly account reconciliations process to ensure the integrity of internal controls, accurate reporting, and ledger maintenance. Manage month-end close process, overseeing income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow.
- Strategic financial planning, budgeting, financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards across APAC region.
- Support branches and regional teams with finance related enquiries and dialogue.
- Present potential scenarios and outcomes to the Financial Controller for decision making purposes.
- Work with external auditor to deliver Group, Local, and Financial Statement and SOX audit clearance.
- Work with tax agent to deliver the Company tax compliance duties.
Drawing upon your proven experience in a financial management position this will be complemented by a tertiary qualification in Business Accountancy/Finance/Commerce or related field. Distinguished from your peers by your ability to ability to think outside the box and multitask we are looking to hear from candidates with:
- Current membership with an accredited professional body (CA preferred).
- Current knowledge of accounting standards and relevant tax and statutory requirements
- Advanced level experience in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with HFM or similar consolidation packages.
- Strong Leadership and People Management skills, including the ability to manage change positively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial, enabling you to simplify complex financial matters and convey them effectively to a diverse audience.
