As the Senior Officer you will collaborate across teams within the SLA providing advice and support. The position requires an analytical and dynamic thinker who can monitor and track the progress of multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines and tax compliance requirements.
The primary functions of the role include:
- Assist with monthly and annual tax compliance activities.
- Developing, implementing and maintaining financial and taxation policies and procedures.
- Support the team in the provision of advice in relation to the tax treatment of land sales and contracts.
- Undertake other duties and functions appropriate to this classification level which contribute to the effective and efficient operation of the team.
Notes: A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. This position will be moving to a new workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
