Finance Manager - Operations

Part of the CSR family, our Construction Systems Business Unit comprises of Cemintel™ Fibre Cement Systems, CSR Hebel and AFS Walling solutions. We manufacture and market a full range of products for residential and commercial applications including a large range of products and systems that cover internal linings, residential and commercial façades, flooring, and innovative proprietary wall and framing systems. We are a high growth business area, with the desire to continue to build solutions.

As a critical member of the Finance Team, you will partner with the Operations Teams to ensure financial outcomes are in line with the strategic direction for the factories. Initially this will include integration and standardisation of the Construction Systems businesses and ultimately the focus will turn to ongoing improvement and financial support to ensure strategy delivery.

You will be required to travel between our Goulburn, Somersby, Wetherill Park, and Minto sites and be responsible for managing two direct reports.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Provide finance leadership and direction toward the achievement of the strategy for factories & logistics, annual goals, and objectives through partnering with GM of Operations.
• Create and drive a culture of Finance excellence through all interactions with the business.
• Ensure Finance objectives for the factories are understood and strategies in place to achieve.  This includes ensuring Factory teams have been trained in and understand the financial drivers and costs in the area they influence, along with how to use the system to review KPI performance against set targets.
• Work collaboratively with site Operations Managers and GM of Operations, to maximise financial performance of the factories.
• Develop constructive business partnering relationships with key internal stakeholders.
• Evaluate budgets, proposed expenditure, and business changes for commercial astuteness.

About You: 

• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance and/or Commerce.
• CA or CPA qualified.
• At least 5 years plus of relevant experience in either financial and/or management accounting activities - including accounting for manufacturing operations and standard costing, general accounting, financial analysis and reports.
• Have exceptional influencing and partnering skills to drive collaborative initiatives and propel BU growth.
• Strong ability to analyse and communicate financial information, computer literacy with a sound knowledge of accounting software and spreadsheet programmes.
• Strong communication and the ability to influence and engage key stakeholders.
• Experience working within the manufacturing, building and construction industry (preferred).
