MyCISO is making security program management easier for all. The platform enables security leaders to assess, improve and manage their security maturity program, aligned to a variety of security frameworks. The MyCISO platform has "SaaSified" the typical journey taken by a consultant and we have a strong roadmap to develop this further.
Major Accountabilities
Accounting and reporting
- Preparing monthly financial accounting and management reports including P&L, Balance Sheet in addition to variances to budget
- Ownership of General Ledger
- Assist in the development of the Finance function
Day to Day Operations
- Financial partner to the business
- Customer contracts – financial input
- Receive and management of debtor balances
- Oversight and contribution, managing our outsourced finance team
Month End Processing
- Manual journals preparation and entry – inclusive of standing journals and prepayments
- Month-end procedures include completing reconciliations to support the data produced, and to contribute towards analysis of exceptions and anomalies from prior months/years.
- Examining and reviewing financial records to check for accuracy against all systems utilised
Financial Administration
- Monthly / Quarterly commission calculations
- Understanding of compliance with local government statutory requirements (Tax, BAS and FBT)
- Ownership of the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory accounts
Payroll
- Monthly payroll – review and processing
- Understanding of compliance with local government statutory requirements (PAYG, Workers Compensation and Superannuation)
- Adhering to deadlines for ATO
General Finance Support
- Provide support to the CEO/CFO
- Other ad hoc projects and duties as required
- Ensuring maintaining excellent relationships with internal and external customers at all times
Outcomes and measures
- Excellent relationship management both internally and externally
- High level of quality and accuracy in finished product
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and workplace requirements
Professional skills, qualifications and experience
- A relevant Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or higher
- Must have held a similar role with minimum 5 years experience in the position, ideally running a small team
- Must have prior working knowledge of Xero Accounting System
- Must have worked in multiple different systems at the same time eg. CRM with an Accounting System
- Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Suite including Strong Excel skills – pivot tables and writing formulas to aid in the reconciliation of raw data dumps
- Proven track record of compliance with policies and procedures
- Strong commercial acumen as well as financial and analytical skills
- Working knowledge Salesforce is desirable
- Knowledge of working in Software / SAAS environment is desirable
