- Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records by recording all financial transactions in the appropriate accounting system or software.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and generate financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, on a regular basis or as requested by the finance team.
- Budget Monitoring: Support the finance team in monitoring and tracking departmental budgets.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee and assist with the processing of accounts payable, including verifying invoices, coding expenses, and issuing payments.
- Financial Analysis: Assist in conducting financial analysis, including variance analysis, profitability analysis, and cost analysis.
- Compliance and Auditing: Assist in ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies. Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and information.
- General Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the finance team, such as organising financial documents, maintaining filing systems, and assisting with ad-hoc finance-related tasks.
- Virtual Accounts Payable Management: Oversee the management of virtual accounts payable systems, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments.
- Administrative Assistant Supervision: Provide supervision and guidance to administrative assistants who support finance-related tasks.
- Financial Systems Maintenance: Assist in maintaining and updating financial systems, including accounting software, expense management tools, and virtual payment platforms.
- Compliance and Regulatory Support: Assist in ensuring compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and company policies.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, improve efficiency, and enhance data accuracy.
- Special Projects: Assist in special finance-related projects, such as system upgrades, process automation, or financial data analysis initiatives. Contribute to project planning, data gathering, analysis, and reporting as needed.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications or coursework in finance and accounting will be considered.
- Experience: Prior experience in a finance or accounting role is advantageous but not mandatory. Fresh graduates or candidates with limited experience but a strong interest in finance will be considered.
- Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of financial principles, terminology, and processes. Proficiency in basic accounting practices and familiarity with financial software and tools.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in financial recordkeeping and reporting.
